Tonight at a dinner with a group of avid Covidians, one of them smugly told me (OMG I didn't get the shots and argued about the ridiculousness of the arguments for mandates, lock downs, etc etc) that Covid has resurfaced. He grinned and I guess he's signing up for a booster. I don't want to be mean, but I'm waiting for those people to start showing signs of being dreadfully unhealthy. Darn, it's not happening in spite of my ill wishes.
I see the reports, but everyone I know seems to be doing well. However, there are lots of trees dying from the top down from the incessant chemical spraying. That's another story, though.
If everyone you know is doing fine after vaccination, consider yourself lucky. The Rasmussen poll definitely reflects my own experience- I know three people who died unexpectedly within the year after vaccination, and two more who almost died from catastrophic cardiovascular events- one got through rather lucky with just stents but the other had a cardiac arrest resulting in severe brain damage. And at least two others have had an exponential worsening of existing conditions, resulting in severe debilitation (one MIGHT have been heading in that direction at a slow rate anyway, but the other definitely was not- sudden major decline). Every single one of these individuals is/was in the 60-85 age range, EXACTLY as the Pfizer and Moderna clinical trial mortality results warned that that age group is at the highest risk.
The very smug people are the ones doing fine. My brother-in-law died from an "unexpected heart attack" about 4 or 5 months after his vaxxes. But no one made any connection and I was silenced. The folks I know who've died after their shots were in the 75 to 92 age group. They had co-morbidities. All the Covidians assign their deaths to that. I'm 81 and did not have the shots. I have atrial fibrillation with the concomitant problems. I got Covid on a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. It was like a cold and lasted about 6 days. I went on the pre-arranged walks in the woods with my friend and a guide. My vaxed and boosted friend got covid and ended up in bed for 3 days. She fully admits that she did worse than I. She took Paxlovid and has continued with boosters. The only reason I knew I had covid is that she tested positive & urged me to test. I did and tested positive - if you trust the tests. There's no accounting for the lack of critical thought in smart people. I'm waiting for the smug folks to have more serious problems. I sound like a vulture. And I'm not smug about my own health. I take care.

I totally understand where you're coming from, but just be a little careful what you wish for- "it IS happening" to an alarming amount of people:
