So many important points made here, including this snippet: there was in fact NO scientific consensus on various issues related to the pandemic. There was robust debate going on, but we were not allowed to hear it. We only got one side of it. I know that for myself, if I’d had access to the debate in legacy & social media, I would have made different choices. And perhaps local governments would have as well.
They should have came back at Jackson, ie, how about 17 year old boys being told to take a shot that might result in myocarditis! Can we censor the government?
The point is that the US and our constitution is supposedly the model of democracy for the free world. Clearly, the fact that it is happening here illustrates how serious and deep this problem is for everyone.
My impression is that the US is the only country with an absolute right to free speech Are there other countries with that right written into their laws?
Phenomenal discussion by two brilliant doctors and educators. It was my honor to see both of them at the Supreme Court on March 18 for Murthy v Missouri. I was honored to give both of these prestigious professors TEACHERS FOR CHOICE t-shirts
Here is my report on the SCOTUS Hearing that day (far simpler than the fine-tuned analysis from Kheriaty & Bhattacharya):
“Show me the man (Fuellmich) and I’ll find the crime. “(German Elite)
Phase I by The Great Euthanizers involved using the legal process to punish individual dissenters, but they were falling behind the censorship eight ball and needed to get in front of it and have now implemented Phase II.
Phase II is to pass legislation like they just did in France and Scotland (coming to a legislature near you in Canada, UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) where the legal process is the punishment has been scaled to involve life imprisonment to 7 years, for anyone engaging in the shape shifting legal definition of misinformation or disinformation or hate speech.
Since, Scotland passed its law a few days ago, there have been 3,000 cases reported and the police have prioritized these cases so murder, rape, theft. cases will have to wait owing to the lack of resources. etc.
Meanwhile, Justices Kagan, Jackson, Sotomayor (Roberts, Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch??) are busy circumcising legal fleas while the US government continues to transform itself into a totalitarian system requiring mass surveillance, digital ID’s, social credit scores, and digital currencies to keep us all safe from all of the harms they have put in place.
It reminds one of the old joke of, how did the Nazi’s invade Poland?
They marched in backwards and said they were leaving…
I hope our US Supreme Court doesn’t fall for the joke…
I am vaccine injured, it has changed my life irrevocably. There was no recognition, no help which still is the case today. We had nowhere to go, we were left on our own. All we had/have is facebook support groups. We were/are terrified looking for answers from others because doctors didn’t believe you or they had no tools to help. This was terrifying and all we had was each other. But, social media was censoring our posts. We had enough to deal with without having to deal with censorship. It was crazy that we even had to go to facebook for medical advice. Many were blaming facebook, I didn’t think they were solely behind this and posted that they wouldn’t give a shit about our posts, something else was behind this. Now, I know who was behind it which was so cruel and totally callous.
Scientists and doctors were censored who were cautioning about taking these jabs, or lockdowns. I dearly wish I could have listened to them. But, to complicate matters, doctors, scientists were maligned, smeared and debased . The propaganda machine was in full force. A contingent of people were constructing this from behind the scenes. Whispering or applying pressure to world governments. Our governments were receiving ill advice from somewhere, the protocol was identical for each western nation. I am angry and my mistrust of our institutions is immense.
What usurps a constitutional amendment. That would be a treaty, like the one the WHO plans to implement in May. They will distract us with wars and slip this treaty through the cracks. Poof goes your free speech and poof goes your second amendment and what are you going to be able to do about it.
You could have mentioned that Justice Jackson’s obtuse “what if Tik Tok promotes teenage defenestration!?!??” hypothetical has a real world parallel. It was the supposed Tide pod swallowing incident.
So we know from this that:
1. The stupidity of the idea itself reduced uptake to almost zero; and
2. The social media firms didn’t need the government to tell them how to handle the situation.
We ran the live fire exercise of “Are Americans as stupid as Justice Jackson thinks they are?” … and we passed.
The federal government has immense power with its many administrative arms, its police power, and its alliances with big tech military contractors researching subtle ways to control our cognitive infrastructure. What's to prevent an Orwellian takeover of our country for the ostensible aim of "safeguarding our democracy," accomplished not by outsiders but by those inside our own country who believe that individual sovereignty is outdated and that tyranny-- make that "democracy," in newspeak-- for the supposed greater good is justified?
The answer is that the freedom to debate and question government policies and actions is the antidote to government corruption, ineptitude, and treachery, and this may be the reason why members of our government are so keen to keep corruption and treachery hidden under the cloak of "necessary" censorship. It's dismaying that some members of the Court seem not to perceive this danger, but perhaps it's the government's own censorship these past few years that has made them ignorant.
Regarding the hypothetical TikTok-ers jumping out of windows and supposedly justifying behind-the-scenes censorship, it might be pertinent for the government to instead openly apply what might be called the FDA's "horse paste argument":
It’s a comfort for me to know that after each significant step of this battle for the First Amendment through the MvsB case, I can listen to Dr J and Aaron discuss with detailed clarity and insight into the whole picture. It helps me move through my initial visceral responses into a clear understanding. Even to a place of seeing the positive in the middle of insanity. Words aren’t enough to express my gratitude for those of you standing strong for our freedom of speech - the bedrock of our Constitution and freedom.
Fantastic discussion! Thank you 🙏

What a great discussion. As I related completely to Jay’s feelings after the oral arguments, I truly appreciate Aaron’s insight and opinion.

What I dont with these two is they talk like they are in a bubble. This was GLOBAL, this isn’t just about the US Constitutional rights to free speech.
The point is that the US and our constitution is supposedly the model of democracy for the free world. Clearly, the fact that it is happening here illustrates how serious and deep this problem is for everyone.
It is indeed global as an issue, but the specific case they’re talking about is taking place in the US.
My impression is that the US is the only country with an absolute right to free speech Are there other countries with that right written into their laws?
"What I dont with these two is they talk like they are in a bubble."
Just ignore them, they speak in language you still need to learn.
Fantastic discussion! What a pleasure to listen to both of you!

Sounds interesting. Is it possible to publish a transcript for those of us who don't do podcasts?
