Hi everyone, In this episode I interview Laura Powell, a lawyer who fought against a law in California that restricted doctors from discussing their opinions with patients. The law, known as AB 2098, aimed to silence doctors who were expressing views that went against the mainstream narrative. Laura discusses the unconstitutional nature of the law and the chilling effect it had on doctors' free speech rights. She also discusses the role of various organizations, such as the California Medical Association and the No License for Disinformation group, in pushing for the law. Despite facing personal blowback, she is proud of the work she has done and the friendships she has formed.
As someone who canvassed against the series of draconian laws passed by the CA legislature and personally called my congress reps during the open comment period, I can tell you those who voted AB 2098 had no interest in listening. They had (and continue to have an agenda) to push scheduled COVID vaccination . They have learned nothing. We have to vote them out, end of story.
I was a liberal in the Bay Area who also did a 180 flip during the pandemic. I am now questioning everything I see and hear and have lost trust in the MSM and all the institutions.
Dr. Bhattacharya, you have no idea if vaccine injuries are rare. With passive data collection and no diagnostic tests we just don’t know the true numbers of deaths and injuries caused by the vaccines. Scientists around the world are concerned with the findings of the contaminated plasmid DNA, SV40, frameshifting.
I find it notable that doctors around the world have been threatened with job loss, smearing of their esteemed careers and or fined for speaking out against the prescribed narrative. How was it that the narrative “safe and effective, follow the science” was used worldwide? How was it that doctors, scientists, judges, statisticians and social media were all censored worldwide? It wasn’t the brain child of individual countries. How was it that even before the vaccines were implemented, we were being indoctrinated worldwide with weaponized terms like anti vaxxers , conspiracy theorists, anti science. I believe we have a much bigger problem with pharmaceutical companies having too much power and influence by funding the FDA, Health Canada and other countries overseeing health agencies, Universities, politicians. It’s getting worse. Our collective health is at stake. Pharma is not in the business of healthcare.
I would dig into the logic for TB testing and treatment as well a the measles vaccine as examples of accepted "mandatory" or strictly recommded public health measures.
I am sure that there are some criteria for justifying such strong recommendations which must include: great benefit to the public or individual with minimal risk to the individual.
