Dr. Herbert Ley, Harvard professor and former Commisioner of the FDA: “People think the FDA is protecting them. It isn’t. The FDA protects the big drug companies, and is subsequently rewarded. Using the government’s police powers, they attack those who threaten the big drug companies. What the FDA is doing, and what the public thinks it is doing are as different as night and day.”
He made this statement in 1968, and it's just as true today as then. The FDA is a thoroughly corrupt agency, subverted and corrupted by the Rockefeller Foundation and Pharma for over 70 years. More recently, the Gates Foundation has added to the corruption of the FDA.
I would love to change the system. I voice my concern about the control pharma has over our health institutions to people. I expressed my concern to the neuro ophthalmologist two weeks ago, (I’m vaccine injured), I told her how medical journals are funded by pharma as well as oversight health agencies. She gave me that look as if to say “you’re a conspiracy theorist.” I tell my friends and get different responses. I feel so impotent. Kim Witczak is doing something. I want to do something. I’ve written letters, letters to the ED which never publish my letters although I used to get many published. I’ve reached out to my member of parliament, Canadian medical association but never get a reply. I’d love to be involved in some grass roots movement.
Thoroughly enjoyable interview Dr. Bhattacharya. The FDA shills for the pharmaceutical companies. The public relies on them for honest assessments of drugs. Sadly, that trust is abused and used. We see so many ads with the “FDA Approved” like it’s some assurance. The constant drug ads on tv tells the story of where media makes money. The quick rundown of side effects and putting the onus on doctors to advise is so slimy. The hired health influencers came as a bit of a surprise. The health system is so rigged it’s diabolical. Pharma is like an invasive species. They fund our universities, healthcare, influencers etc., this is not sustainable long term. It’s no different than a dictatorship, just not as overt.
The primary purpose, and function, of the FDA is to protect the pharmaceutical industry from competition from chepaer, safer and more effective alternatives.
Among other things, those alternatives include treatment with natural/herbal therapies as well as teatment with drugs that are not profitable because their patents have expired.
A good example is protection of Covid market for dangerous new drugs (Remdesivir etc.) by dismissing safe and proven alternatives like Vitamin D, HCQ and Ivermectin.
One thing I have seen over and over in my professional career is that liability drives change.
This was true in the early years of the opioid crisis where doctors were being sued by patients for not prescribing opiate pain medications... It has also driven many doctors to be careful about prescribing off-label for exactly the reason that impacted Kim's husband.
I propose that a macro movement to reverse the out of control FDA approval process on vaccines and medications can be driven by REMOVING the liability protection of Pharmaceutical manufacturers for vaccines and drugs which would force them to produce GOOD SCIENTIFIC evidence of safety and effectiveness... Otherwise these companies would be subject to widespread liability lawsuits.
For vaccines, we can start with REPEALING the Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 which has led to the explosion of childhood vaccines without strong evidence to support their use.

There was that movie dallas buyers club which everyone thought was great and it seemed everyone nodded along as the main character ranted how the FDA is to protect the drugs not the patients. And yet nothing has changed since then that would have made the FDA better. If anything things got worse. This shouldn't be a surprise anymore and something should be done about it already.
