This has the chance to be one of the best stacks out there. I will, however, continue to beg. Many of us are visual learners. We lack aural learning skills. Or we are hard of hearing. Or we do not have 200 hours per day to listen to podcasts. Or all of the above. We feel gypped when a great-looking podcast is out there and we know we will miss its content.
Many other sites have been through this. We have all discovered that autotranscribers are cheap/free and, while perfect, are good enough to render podcasts into an intelligible readable form. Some sites make the podcasts free but only provide the transcripts to paid subscribers. I pay for all of them if they look interesting.
So I am begging on my and others' behaves... Please post contemporaneous transcriptions of audio content. We will not be upset if they are not perfect. And we will be forever grateful
You'll be stoked to hear that Substack has innovated on this front and now auto-generates transcripts for all episodes. If you go to our last conversation with Aaron K, you'll see under our names "episode details," "comments," and "transcript."
Click the transcript and you can read it in full. Enjoy!
Rav & Jay..... I greatly appreciate your work..... reading your articles, listening to your audio podcasts and watching your video podcasts. You always raise important ideas to think about. - Best regards, Marcy
You are a bright light in a dark world! Here is an idea for reporting on how politics corrupts science in the largest state medical society (putting patients in that state at possible physical risk if their physicians follow its advice). This was just posted today for its members.
