Camaraderie only works if both parties have good intentions. Over time I have come to understand that those ruling our world right do not have good intentions. They live by different rules. To put it simply, if I ever find myself in a room with a lion, I will recognize it as a living breathing creature but I will not forget that to him I am food.
"Biden and Harris similarly showed character by going on TV and saying we need to tone down the rhetoric and create situations where we can talk to each other. Biden's stepping down from the presidential race demonstrated a self-sacrificial willingness to put the country's interests above his own. Following Biden's lead, Harris, in her first stump speeches as presidential nominee, calls for healing the country's divisions."
In the spirit of their article, I will say, "Oh, that is ignorant,"
* Trump continues to express "a renewed spiritual commitment that suggests introspection about his mortality and a broader purpose for his political life than self-aggrandizement." AND he continues to brazenly but truthfully call-out his opponents and is proven correct over and over again.
* There is plenty of evidence that Biden resisted stepping down but was threatened by Pelosi and Obama hoods. Since then, all he has done is go on beach vacations while the world deteriorates - as if it was him really running the country for the last 3.5 years...
* The Jack Smith lawfare hitman is back in action for more election interference.
All the above is proof that the left will not comply if they do not do enough to cheat their way to another 4 years and they will mirror the actions of the southern states after the 1860 election.
I will file this article under the quote of the great philosopher, Rodney King: Can't we all just get along?
It seems natural that powerful agencies will become increasingly corrupted, at the very least, unduly protective of their own interests, over time. The best antidote is to curb their power, in terms of their ability to influence the course of affairs beyond a narrow mandate. Restrict the size and budget of the agency. This mitigates both the corrupting influence of power and the effects it may cause.
I disagree with many people I love on politics and we are loving and civil in our debates. I am specifically referring to "those ruling our world right now" who deserve nothing less than our distrust and more possibly jail time.
Well that is good to hear, because your opening line "Camaraderie only works if both parties have good intentions" could be interpreted to mean people of either party are the problem.
This topic is so close to my heart. I am a rare political activist who has never hated political opponents. I have a friend from 8th grade with whom I crash when I attend high school reunions. We never agreed on anything until the health freedom movement started. There was never a whit of tension between us for all those decades.
What has upset me the most about the pandemic has been that it is almost impossible to have civil dialog with a progressive about the science surrounding the jab, unless they are already a close friend.
I have been a progressive activist for a half century. I've been arrested for nonviolent civil disobedience over 45 times. I can't reasonably identify as a progressive anymore. I'm now an eclectic.
I have a close friend of over 50 years, and I have been in civil dialogue over the jab. After she blindly accepted the NYT assertion that Bobby Kennedy was running for president for the money, I couldn't stomach the dialog any more. I still wished her a happy birthday. I never told her I think she belongs in a straight jacket after her RFK/money remark.
At my high school's 55th reunion, I was surprised to see the star of the class there. He had only come to the 25th and 50th reunions previously. We have been two of the three longtime progressive activists in an original class of 628. Several years ago, he arranged for me to speak about nonviolence at a Medicare for All activist convention.
Around that time, I had one of my most inspiring political experiences attending a local meeting of people, including him who were organizing a collectively run laundromat. I was so impressed with how well people who were immigrants and had never gone to college were able to be lovingly collective.
Late in the evening at the reunion, I approached him and said," You know how much I respect you. I hope you will let me reach out for a dialog about the science surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine." He declined, saying that all vaccines were good.
I've been a 911truth activist since 2002. I've said for years that anyone who will have a civil dialog with me about evidence is a hero of mine. I feel the same way about those who disagree with me but will have civil dialog about the pandemic.
Solutions are simple. Stop lying. Stop projecting your own misdeeds onto others. Stop falling for lies. I myself am utterly convinced after much investigation that one “side” lies a whale of a lot more than the other and I absolutely have the right to judge them for that and to expect them to be held accountable. I do not forgive without first receiving a SINCERE AND HEARTFELT AND TRUTHFUL apology. And “mistakes were made” is not a sincere apology. And an apology that is not accompanied by necessary reforms to prevent the same from happening again doesn’t count either. One of the authors of this article has some apologizing to do. The other does not and is owed a ton of apologies. Something like THAT would set things right.
I think there is valuable wisdom in this piece you two have written. It might be beyond the reach of some to consider it, however. Nevertheless, seeding this idea out can help us more safely navigate the tumultuous and complicated waters we find ourselves in. One person at a time employing self-honesty in this regard can mitigate severe harms which might be forthcoming without it. Thank you for supplying us with a vision that many of us will keep in mind in the coming days, weeks and years.
Maybe if people would refrain from using incendiary, hyperbolic, and RIDICULOUS comments like "the mob that attacked the Capitol on January 6th", then we could all get along much better. There was no "mob" at the Capitol- just a bunch of CLOWNS acting a bit wild who were ALLOWED into the building. All the camera footage makes this very clear but certain agenda-driven TDS-infected LIARS want nothing better than to keep us divided!
I do not accuse Democrats of all being like their leaders… but their leaders accuse all Republicans so, calling us Christofascists. If any of these cocksure progressives show up to grab guns, close churches as alleged centers of hate, or sexually abuse minors in the name of “trans” hysteria, they’ll be shipped home as rail freight.
While I agree with the sentiments of this article, I think some choices of examples of political violence are poorly chosen, and are likely to drive people away from the message.
To call January 6th a mob attack is certainly better than calling them insurrectionists, but misses bigger aspects of this event which show FBI involvement in instigating the trespassing through undercover operatives (1), the deliberate withholding of the national guard by Nancy Pelosi as reported by the Capitol hill police chief Steven Sund(2), media reports immediately following the event grossly exaggerated the violence of the day based through highly edited video clips (3), false reports of protesters killing people (4) as well as reports of pipe bombs which through subsequent video releases clearly appear to be fakes planted by law enforcement (5). All of this evidence makes Jan 6, which was clearly an event partially orchestrated and undoubtedly exacerbated by our own government, a poor choice for examples of political violence.
Also to call Biden's stepping down a self-sacrificial act can only be the product of ignorance. He had to be forced out behind the scenes. He was absolutely defiant (6) right up until the moment his twitter account announced his resignation on a Sunday afternoon by signed letter (7). If you think resigning your presidential campaign by tweet isn't highly suspicious, I have a bridge to sell you. DNC insiders were likely going to 25th amendment him if he refused because the DNC donors were starting to revolt. Biden doesn't give two shits about democracy, he has always been a man who craved power over everything. Also I say this as a liberal who has never voted Republican in my life.
It's easy for me to look past these errors, but will be harder for others to do so. And really what this highlights is that even the authors of this post need to get out of their political bubbles and listen to the other side more.
There's so many errors in this article, and I failed to see any mentions of the Democrat "mobs" and their atrocious behaviors, I stopped reading. All I saw were the assumptions, based on MSM garbage, picking on folks from the conservative side of things! One brief mention of the assassination attempt on Trump, big wow. Some biased "study" from a leftards university cited? Really? No BLM rioting? No Antifa crap? Both author's can go take a leap off the far end of the pier! It's expected that the right should be conciliatory, but never the left? Bite me authors!
All good intentions here, for that I am sure, but way too much, imho, of gaslighting some very brutal & recent atrocities, blatantly & proudly committed on others.. I’ve not found one single reason to forgive or forget, as I grieve over all the fantastic individuals, now dead & gone, due to those actions…
There are people on the other side whom I believe have a long history of bad behavior. leaving them wholly unfit to serve as the POTUS. Viktor Frankl saw people in private practice in Vienna who were like a spiritual void… he called it a spiritual neurosis and promulgated logotherapy as a psychiatric school to treat such things. Both parties’ leadership cadres are badly poisoned by this.
I do not trust the party of Vietnam, the party of Watergate, the party that tried to Bork Justice Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearing… in all three crises, they told lies and employed smears until they would have turned blue. Has any Democratic Congressman apologized for the sickening witch hunts of Vietnam War protests, Watergate and the Borking of Kavanaugh? Until one does and it makes the front page of the thoroughly corrupted MSM, THEN I will think about forgiveness. As far as I can tell, these living tools of Evil need to demonstrate that they have changed their tune. They haven’t snd, as far as I can tell, they need to be steamrolled before they ever would..
You are a Bush Republican!!! Bush came up with pandemic plan to shut down schools and Fauci and Bush have some strange homoerotic three way with Condi Rice!!! You suck!! 😂
anything of consequence is political. there is one side or another that wants to give tax payer money to some cause or another, or make some law or another about things. Dr Fauci has Secret Service protection, and yet Robert Kennedy, Jr. doesn't even though he is on the ballot in enough states to win a majority (Not the 270)
That tells me there are elements inside the Biden - Harris administration that wouldn't mind seeing RFK jr injured or dead sooner rather than later.
America spends so much money on things, America can afford to protect ALL Presidential / vice presidential candidates that poll at 1% or more. that is only 200 or so at most.
Thank you for this article. I love the spirit in which it is written. It saddens me to see some of the comments below. Humanity is at a crossroads, and if we (the people) do not find more common ground, and continue to allow ourselves to be fueled by hate, we are headed towards a very ugly outcome. Thank you for having the courage to call all of us out, all sides of the aisle. There is much going on across the globe as well at levels beyond our party politics that many seem to be ignoring. We have been pitted against each other, by design, and have fallen for it. If the trajectory continues as it is, the US will fall.
This is pretty rich coming from a guy (Bhattacharya) who routinely blocks people who disagree with him on twitter, who a court decision found that he "substantially misrepresents the findings of the Bangladesh study" and judge who said of him, "the Court is simply unwilling to trust Dr. Bhattacharya", and who works for a very sketchy think tank that refuses to reveal the source of its funding. Not to mention his truly awful advice about Covid, as exposed in the book _We Want Them Infected_.
Camaraderie only works if both parties have good intentions. Over time I have come to understand that those ruling our world right do not have good intentions. They live by different rules. To put it simply, if I ever find myself in a room with a lion, I will recognize it as a living breathing creature but I will not forget that to him I am food.

was going to make that same point about who forced Biden to step down, and who is (and has been) running the country ...
Power is a corrupting influence.
It seems natural that powerful agencies will become increasingly corrupted, at the very least, unduly protective of their own interests, over time. Comparing people with whom you disagree to dangerous animals is precisely the violence-precipitating rhetoric these authors are trying to warn of.

Go peddle your lies somewhere else.
